Details
Let yourself be surprised by the spectacular sound of the Palau de la Música Catalana pipe organ, performed by a very particular organist and an intrepid and curious air bubble.
During the concert you will hear fragments of musical works of all time interspersed with explanations and videomapping projections so that little by little you discover how this incredibly colossal instrument works.
Fasten your seat belts and prepare for a more than galactic musical journey!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: In this concert-show only two instruments intervene: the organ and the human voice. Sometimes, the sound of the organ can be shocking due to the great diversity of timbres and sound volume that it can perform. The first work, “Dieu parmi nous”, from the Nativity of the Lord by Messiaen, has a very imposing sound and decibel strength, but it lasts only 30 seconds. The audience should be warned so that they do not get scared.
Another moment that could be shocking is, towards the middle of the show, the eighth fragment that we will hear, the “Final” of the Symphony No. 1, Op. 14 by Vierne, which is also accompanied by videomapping projections of fireworks.
The performers of the concert-show always speak or sing amplified, but never shouting loudly. The soprano, in some passage, will sing sharp notes, but always within the context of the pieces she performs.
As for lighting, the show presents two very short moments to take into account. A moment in which the organ improvises music that makes us think of a storm (lasts 30 seconds) and, in the penultimate piece, a fragment of the film Interstellar. In these two moments, the lighting moves faster than usual and can create glare to the audience.
Finally, it should be noted that in the middle of the show there is a scenic movement of the singer that causes a loud noise as a result of dragging cubes over the ground and encountering them.
