Details
The great voice of countertenor Philippe Jaroussky will inaugurate the 2023-24 season of Palau Grans Veus. The artist is well-loved by audiences at the Palau. This time he will be accompanied by the ensemble Le Concert de la Loge, under the baton of Julien Chauvin. A musician who performs with great intelligence and musical intuition, the singer has been praised for his technical ability, which allows him to take on even the most convoluted coloratura, and his ability to move the audience with even the softest note. Jaroussky, who discovered his great countertenor voice at the age of eighteen almost by chance, will sing arias from little-known operas by late Baroque composers such as Hasse, Jomelli and Handel, as well as works by lesser-known composers such as Leo, Valentini, Traetta, Bernasconi and Ferrandini. It is a joy to have the opportunity to hear the voice of one of the great countertenors of the moment.
