Open House Day 2023
Open House Day 2023
Come and discover a gem of modernism
Details
Palau de la Música Catalana is reopening its doors to bring its modernist architecture closer to all citizens.
The funds raised during the day will once again be dedicated to Palau Vincles, the social project of the Palau, which promotes social inclusion of children and young people in vulnerable situations through choral singing. You decide what you want to give for your visit (starting from a minimum of 1€ per visitor).
Reserve your advance ticket at a symbolic price and be amazed by some of the most emblematic spaces of the Palau:
- Concert Hall: Presided over by the organ on the stage and with a central skylight representing the sun, the hall enjoys natural light. A mystical and paradoxical space that is filled with figures, such as the muses surrounding the stage, Wagner's Valkyries emerging from the ceiling, a bust of Anselm Clavé on one side and one of Beethoven on the other, and elements of nature, like flowers, palm trees, and fruits.
- Lluís Millet Hall: An emblematic resting area on the main floor. The hall has access to a balcony with a garden of columns, all different and crowned with stone capitals adorned with floral motifs, a characteristic feature of the architect Domènech i Montaner.
- Palau Square: Dare to play the piano! The Maria Canals International Music Competition will provide a piano so that everyone can become a Palau performer for a day.
