Details
No, let's not kid ourselves: you can't really know what "being intense" means without having heard the greatest exponents of late Russian Romanticism before. Rakhmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2, a legendary composition for the instrument, and Pictures at an Exhibition, created for the piano by Modest Mussorgsky and later orchestrated by Maurice Ravel, are highly expressive pieces, full of emotion and lyricism and iconic in Russian classical music. The Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès under the baton of Xavier Puig takes us on this journey to the East with the participation of Albert Guinovart on piano. In addition, Mussorgsky's work will be accompanied live by sand art by Borja González, who will evoke the music as it plays.
And after the concert... the party continues! With the collaboration of the Festival Cruïlla and the support of Fundació Damm, the music moves to the Palau Foyer with a session by DJ Hanakito, a regular on the underground scene of Barcelona nights. The show will mix house and electronic music, including various sounds from around the world.
The concert is part of the #Vibe35 project, launched jointly by the main six cultural facilities (Mercat de les Flors, Teatre Lliure, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, L'Auditori i el Palau de la Música Catalana) with the objective of creating new young audiences and promoting educational and social initiatives. The program includes a show or concert in each of the 6 teams and an aftershow. You can check the full schedule through this link.
