Born in Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia, Katharina Konradi is the first artist from her country to enjoy an international career as an opera and lied singer. With a light soprano timbre and extremely bright high register, she combines an operatic repertoire with a concert repertoire that has particular focus on the lied. Konradi, who made her début at the Palau two seasons ago, presents an original programme comprising French and Spanish songs, the exquisite Cinco canciones negras by Xavier Montsalvatge and Franz Schubert's lied, alongside a piano performance by emerging lied specialist Ammiel Bushakevitz. The concert also forms part of the Schubertíada Barcelona series.
