The Palau Cambra cycle begins with a piano quartet featuring Benjamin Grosvenor (piano) and Kian Soltani (cello), alongside Timothy Ridout (viola) and Hyeyoon Park (violin). The programme includes two Piano Quartets by Brahms and Strauss, both great masters of chamber music, the latter in particular an admirer of the former, especially during his youth and before he delved deeply into Wagnerian aesthetics.
