In one of the most unique proposals of the double commemoration of Juli Garreta –for the 150th anniversary of his birth and the 100th anniversary of his death–, the GIO Symphonia echoes the famous exclamation (more Garreta!) attributed to Stravinsky to present a session that moves away from a simple monograph, thanks to a combination of the work of the composer from Empordà with that of Beethoven, Albéniz and Wagner. The violinist Joel Bardolet will also be featured, and Jordi Lara will be the narrator. Lara is the author of the novel Una màquina d’espavilar ocells de nit, which includes an attempt to reveal the truth about Juli Garreta, an enigmatic character and composer. All will be under the direction of Francesc Prat, principal conductor of the GIO Symphonia.
