Details
One of the landmarks of Bach's keyboard literature is the Goldberg Variations, a work produced in his mature years, composed in 1741 in Leipzig and shrouded in legend, like the great pieces of the universal repertoire. The Turkish pianist and composer Fazil Say will accompany them, as is his custom in his recitals, with his own work, in which he usually mixes elements of Turkish popular music and the romantic tradition, sometimes even with forays into jazz improvisation.
