Carlos Núñez celebrates one more year the traditional New Year's Eve Party of Banco Mediolanum Mil·lenni Festival at the Palau de la Música Catalana. The most international Galician bagpiper does not rest after almost 30 years touring uninterruptedly around the world and continues to offer us news and collaborations with artists such as Serrat, Luz Casal, Vicente Amigo, Roger Hodgson, Omara Portuondo, Montserrat Caballé, Julio Iglesias... Carlos has been creating an authentic family that unites the public of all ages and artists of all genres around the great millennial legacy of tradition.
More than 1 million records sold, two books, an Ondas Award, two Latin Grammy nominations as well as different awards around the world are evidence of his success. He has been defined by the media as "the only planetary star of the bagpipe" (Libération), "the new king of the Celts" (El País), "the Jimi Hendrix of the bagpipe" (Billboard) or "the golden bagpiper" (El Mundo). He has also been named European Ambassador for the Environment, has performed in Rome before two million people summoned by the Pope and has been the first artist to take his instrument, the bagpipe, to international music temples such as the Musikverein in Vienna, the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Boston Symphony Hall, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Sydney Opera House, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires or the Berliner Philharmoniker.
