:Details
On 7 May 1824, Beethoven conducted the premiere of his ‘Choral’ Symphony in Vienna. Two hundred years later, the Ninth remains the definitive musical affirmation of freedom and brotherhood between cultures. No other work conveys that message in ways that are both so profound and so accessible to all.
On the exact anniversary of its premiere, we’ll come together for this concert to celebrate 200 years of a work that inspires us with every hearing to cultivate a sense of fraternity.
