Distinguished in particular for his interpretations of Liszt's repertoire as well as for his transcriptions, the Russian pianist Arcadi Volodos offers in this programme his own edition of the Hungarian Rhapsody No. 13, a work that reflects extreme and variable characteristics with accentuated rhythms and ornamental passages – almost improvised. This work will be preceded by a Schubert Sonata and the series of small pieces Davidsbündlertänze by Schumann.
