Details
French pianist Alexandre Tharaud has mastered a very wide repertoire that ranges from baroque to contemporary music. Today's programme will give a good account of this, as he begins with Bach – of whom he will perform a selection of his own transcriptions and other works for different instruments or instrumental combinations – and moves on to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries with two works by the French composers Ravel and Dukas.
