In this edition, the festival seeks to open up the potential of verse to the maximum and enjoy it in its bare essence, with words resonating powerfully in the air, or in the company of others, challenged and contradicted with music, or as an appeal, a theater decoration, a sketch with thin lines and thicker ones like brushstrokes. This year’s city poetry festival thus revolves around simplicity, materialization and the everyday nature of gestures, enabling us to hear poetry in city streets and squares and at the Palau de la Música, in Catalan, in Spanish, in Slovenian, French and Basque. Open out your hands, look at your palms and marvel: in the most familiar corners of everyone and everything, if we know how to look we find nobility, we find poetry.
